Herbicarnus-X is an invention that Doctor Herdlip the sellosaurus created in secret on the Sauropod during The Carnivore Curse and planned to use it to change King Jeck, the baryonyx king of Baronia, into an herbivore, thus infecting the entire Carnivore Sector. However, it was accidentally used on Herdlip instead and he became a vicious "carnivore creature" three times, in a manner that is similar to a werewolf's transformation: the victim can fight off the change twice, but the third change is permanent. However, the effects can be reversed when the victim takes a dose of Herbicarnus-X after the third change. Prince Poota, who had disguised himself as Jeck, planned to use it to change all of the herbivores in The Jurassic Quadrant into meat-eaters, but his scheme was foiled by Teggs, Arx, Gipsy, Iggy, and Captain Griffen the baryonyx.
